After studying socialism, Jack went on to work as a
communication advisor and describes himself as “A father of an eight year old beautiful girl, living my life as a
wanderer and wonderer. Romantic by nature, not by conviction”
Since his childhood, Jack has been fascinated by “the
magical powers of photography”. As a boy he would find his attention caught by
a photo for hours, he found it to be sheer magic.
Jack follows the works of many contemporary photographers
but also finds a wide array of inspirations by the more “old school” photographers
such as Cartier-Bresson, Newman, Erwitt, Van Der Elsken, Morayama, Araki and Salgado to name a few.
Jack says, “Personally, I'm 'against the passing of time'... That is, I think, my
reason to take pictures, and in that process I'm just looking rather
intuitively for beauty and harmony, wherever it meets my eye. There is no plan,
but on a subconscious level I'm fighting my little war against the passing of
time...”
