Over
the many months that I have been writing for this blog, have been lucky to be able
to speak with a collective of fantastic and inspiring photographers on social
networks such as Instagram. I have been showcasing their work via my posts
named “Photographer’s highlights", in the in these posts i share
the artists work and go into a short biography about each of the represented
photographers. I have had the pleasure of featuring a wide array of styles from
landscape photographers to street photographers. I hope that readers of these
posts find them as interesting and inspiring as I have when I read about their
backgrounds and influences. From writing these highlight posts, it has made me
open my eyes more in my own photographic styles and where I would like to see
them go.
Have
a look at the photographers featured so far and let me know what you think,
maybe you to would like to be featured. If so please do not hesitate to contact
me for more details. As for now, click on the any of the names listed bellow to
have a look at the superb talent that can be found on Instagram.
Now seeing as may blog is called The Big World Picture BlogSpot,
it would only seem correct that I feature photography from all around the
world. After thinking how I would go about this I came to the thought that the
best way would be to showcase a country and highlight some of the photographers
from this area, as well as this I try and go into a little about the history of
photography in these countries. From a personal perspective, it is a great way
for me to discover more about the history of photography around the world and
the way in which they all connect.
Some of the countries I have featured so far are;
I find myself each and every day looking for different
photographers that inspire new ideas or ways of thinking in my photographic
work. I feature these photographers in dedicated posts that I call “artists
that inspire me” you can view past posts below;
Featuring Gregory Crewsdon, David LaChapelle and Helmut Newton.
Featuring Nadar, Richard Ragsdale and Ansel Adams.
Featuring Alfred Stieglitz, Diego Uchitel and Albert Kahn
Featuring Nick Knight and Boris Mikhailov

Along with these great features on photographers and their countries
you can also read up on various ideas and techniques.

I am sure there is a little bit of everything for
photographers of all levels to get ideas and move on in the wonderful world of
photography.
