InstaFinds #2

One of the reasons I like to use Instagram is the square format that you are presented with, it kind of reminds me of the Polaroid instant photos, indeed as do a lot of the filters that I can choose from within Instagram. It is great to have a camera always in my pocket ready to capture the moment or essence of any given time. I guess in a way Instagram is the digital version of Lomography and as so you could apply the same 10 Golden rules that Lomographers use. You can view my Instagram photography by clicking the link on the Home bar or by clicking here. I find Instagram a great place to go to find inspiration and so I decided that once a week I would load up a selection of Instagram that caught my attention and share them with you. I hope you find them as interesting or as inspiring as I do.

untitled
This photo has a very dreamy feel to it, I really like the soft tones, and the subtle contrasts and great composition to the shot. I wonder what she is looking at, if she is in fact looking at anything at all?
STEPH☠ "be yourself, everyone else is already taken".

"The red tree
I love the sense of the mystical in this photograph. The dream-like reds to the tree give it an oriental feel. I could look at this photo for a long time and just get dragged into the scene, a scene straight out of " Narnia".

"May you always remember how much you are loved :: My blue sister"
Such an amazing dreamy edit. It is almost like i am being given a glimpse into another world. This is a Heavily edited photo but done in a very subtle way to achieve this sublime image.
Rebecca Cornwell can be found on www.wearejuxt.com
"untitled"
A simple but strong composition, I really like the vibrant red that just pops. I can't quite make out what the man in the background is doing, but this only adds to the image.

"untitled"
This is photo editing done to the extreme but to great effect. The chopping up of the lady, for me, really adds to the whole composition of the image. Is she lay down asleep? who knows. A very modern Cubist take on photography.
